| Résumé : |
The author first shows how the New York Times presented a restricted set of op-ed views on whether to go to war with Iraq, shutting out discussions of options that many ordinary Americans favored. He then examines the intensely negative reactions in most media to Bush administration's claim that riots in Los Angeles were caused by social programs. Finally he describes how talk radio overcame the elite media's indifference to wide-spread concern about Zoe Baird's hiring of illegal aliens, but suggests that such genuine popular uprisings occur only rarely. |
