The second edition retains the vital presentation format of the first edition. We describe each data structure using an implementation - independent specification. Only after the specification has been presented do we discuss implementation issues and present pascal code that represents the data structure and implements the operations given in the specification. There are important changes, however, in the way specifications and implementation modules are described. |
